YEAR 5

Dear Students,

This year was fantastic! It is hard to believe that it came to an end. On this occasion, I want to tell you that you and your classmates have astonished me in different ways for the past two years.

I have talked to some of you often. Some of you have shared your joys with me and made me laugh. All of you have made me very proud in numerous ways. Some of you have become leaders for the next year. Congratulations to Cidra Chkhaydem and Raphael Pelaez for becoming school captains for 2020. Some of you have excelled at sports, studies, art and helping others. Some of you are still finding your unique place in the world, and that is okay too. All of you have made progress in some way and that is what matters the most. Your science projects and presentations were amazing!

Remind yourself what you did well this year and what you want to improve on. Remind yourself of a few rules that you want to set for next year and why. Remind yourself that we believe in you. Most importantly, believe in yourself. I will miss you next year, but I know that you must move forward in order to accomplish the great things that your life has in store.

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND WORK TOWARDS IT. YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH IT!

I am grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to teach you for two years. Thank you for a great year and good luck for next year!

Sukaina Rafiee would like to share a poem that she has written about ‘Year 5’.

YEAR 5

This year was great,
I was never late.
I had a lot of fun,
I played outside in the sun.

The teacher was nice,
It was good she didn’t have lice.
It was exciting,
There was some fighting.

We had lots of teachers,
They all had different features.
I went to the Urban Camp,
We were scared, so we turned on the lamp.

We went on the Melbourne Star,
It was quite far.
The food wasn’t good,
It put me in a bad mood.

I enjoyed the year,
Without any fear.
I will miss my friends,
But I want the year to end.
